The July 4th holiday is almost here and the Jackson County Animal Shelter is looking for foster homes to take on the animals during the July 4th holiday. According to WILX, the shelter is looking for the extra help and foster homes to house some of the animals as the shelter expects extra strays coming in over the holiday.  The shelter usually has more strays over the July 4th holiday as the animals tend to be scared by the fireworks and run off.

If you want to be a foster then you need to fill out an application at the shelter or online before July 4th, and you should be flexible. Also the shelter will help you with the fostering as they have a 24-hour emergency assistance line, as well as food, beds, and other necessities to help you out.
