
U-Pick Lavender in Michigan: Dates, Festivals & Must-Visit Farms
It's about that time of year again. That time of year where the scent of lavender lightly perfumes the air in Michigan, because it's lavender season!
When is Lavender Season in Michigan?
Lavender is one of the many plants that thrives here in the Mitten State. Its season typically runs from early to mid-June through mid-August, with peak bloom near late June/early July, depending on the weather.
And although Michigan got a bit of a cooler start this year, it seems like this year's season is about on par for normal.

You can definitely tell that lavender season is imminent because so many farms are talking about u-pick lavender opportunities or lavender festivals. All of which are coming up soon.

If you'd like to pick-your-own bouquet of lavender, take in the gorgeous sights and smells, taste the various foods made with lavender (think lemonade, cookies), and purchase various lavender products (lotions, candles, and more), there are plenty of places to do that in Michigan!

Ocimeae Lavender Farm in Webberville
Ocimeae's U-Pick Festival is July 1 - 5 and 8 - 12. You can pick your own lavender, explore artisans wares, and enjoy various activities.
Oak Lore Farm in Williamston
Dates and times for u-pick lavender are still TBD at this time. However, they anticipate great blooms available from late-June through July.
Blake Farms in Armada
Blake's Lavender Festival is returning July 11-13 and 18 - 20 this year.
DeBuck's Family Farm in Belleville
DeBuck's boasts having the largest lavender field in Michigan. You can see the field and experience u-pick lavender, treats, photo ops and more during their annual Lavender Festival, June 26 through July 13.
Indigo Lavender Farms in Imlay City
Indigo Lavender Farms is hosting its annual Lavender Daze July 18 - 20. It will be a festival filled with music, food, drink, activities, and lots of lavender.
Romeo Lavender Farm in Van Dyke
You can plan a romantic dinner date among the blooms or you can just visit for u-pick lavender, which is $20 for a bundle of over 350 stems.
