These are the 10 Most Dangerous Intersections in Ingham County
Lansing is no stranger when it comes to auto accidents. But not every intersection is created equally.
There are some intersections in Lansing that are downright dangerous, and one law firm has the receipts to prove it.
Michigan Auto Law in Farmington Hills has released its list of 'most dangerous intersections' for Ingham County, and there's a good chance you know exactly which ones are going to make the list.
The Most Dangerous Intersection in Ingham County
Let's start off strong with the WORST intersection on the list: Homer Street and Saginaw Street. In 2024, this intersection saw 66 crashes, according to Michigan State Police statistics.
This is the fourth year in a row that the intersection of Saginaw Street and North Howard Street landed in the number one spot. And anyone who's driven through this intersection knows just how scary it is. You have people coming off the freeway, some of them looking to cross three lanes of traffic so they can make a right turn onto Saginaw.
Coming in second on the list of most dangerous intersections is one that I literally saw a head-on collision occur at the day of writing this: Howard Street and Grand River Avenue. This intersection saw 51 crashes in 2024.
