Lost Your Crocs? It Could Have Been A Michigan Fox
Campers at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Michigan's Upper Peninsula have been puzzled by the mysterious disappearance of their footwear.
The culprits behind these thefts have now been identified as a group of foxes, according to recent announcements by park officials.
The unusual string of thefts came to light when park staff discovered a collection of flip-flops and Crocs outside a fox den at the Rivermouth Campground.
The shoes had visible bite marks, with some pairs showing significant damage, such as straps bitten completely off.
Apparently the foxes were not a big fan of "sport mode"
A Facebook post from the park on Thursday described the foxes as adorable thieves and warned campers to keep their shoes inside their tents or campers to avoid further losses.
The post included pictures of the chewed-up footwear, highlighting the foxes' mischievous activities.
Park officials recovered 13 pieces of footwear, emphasizing that the foxes' behavior, while amusing, is a reminder of the wildlife presence in the area.
They urged visitors to exercise caution and secure their belongings to prevent further incidents.
I wonder how many kids got in trouble with mom and dad for "losing" their crocs and flip flops when it really was these mischievous foxes taking them.
