One of Michigan’s Most Accessible State Parks is Right Here in West Michigan
A group of friends has worked hard to make a local state park the most accessible park in Michigan.

Throughout the years, Friends of Ludington State Park have raised funds for various projects to make the area more accessible.
The latest addition are new beach chairs that make going to the beach easier for those with a mobility challenge. Visitors to the park can use the "beach cruisers" free of charge!
Also, a SeeCoast EnChroma Viewer has been installed on the Skyline Trail. It was the first of its kind in the state using the EnChroma technology for people who are color blind.
Ludington State Park Manager Jim Gallie tells Fox 17,
We've been trying for so many years to improve the accessibility here. Accessibility is often thought of as mobility. But, you know, this is a different component of that.
Imagine being able to see all the colors of a gorgeous Lake Michigan sunset for the first time!
