The house was built in 1898 for David Hyatt Van Dolah, a prominent local landowner best known as an importer and broker of French horses. Architect George H. Miller, one of the most well-regarded architects in the Bloomington area, and his partner James E. Fisher designed the house in the Queen Anne style.

There's also a one-bedroom, one-bathroom pool house to complement the in-ground pool and adjoining tennis court.
A restored 36-passenger miniature train and vintage 36-horse carousel operate out of two commercial-grade buildings.
As for the home itself, it's made up of intimately sized rooms across three floors, accessed by a stunning floating staircase or original elevator.
You'll find gorgeous touches like embossed hardware and hand-painted ceilings.
While it would be incredible to live their, you could also rent it out. I was thinking it'd be perfect for a wedding venue, like imagine the photos on that carousel/ train - turns out I was right.
