Haunted Car? Here’s My Tale

Today's episode was ridiculous, there I was in a public parking lot, locked in my car with the alarm going off and I can't turn it off or open the door!   To make a long story short I had a remote starter installed, it died and now my car starts itself randomly when the temperature goes below freezing and it has a bad habit of locking me in with the alarm going.  Today was not the first time this has happened to me, always in a public place, always in the view of witnesses...always! Today was different because I no longer carry the remote start fob with the alarm button on it.  I thought maybe that was the problem.  Turns out that's not it, I don't have any idea what causes this, but I did discover if I open the window and use the key to open the door from the outside, the alarm goes off.  So there's that.
