Gas Prices Set New 2022 Record in Michigan
Because of the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine, consumers are paying the price at the gas pump and it's only going to get worse.
The other day I noticed unleaded regular gasoline was selling for around $3.86 per gallon. Currently it's past that number and still climbing and there's nothing we can do about it.

According to the Detroit Free Press:
The average price in the state on Monday for regular unleaded was $3.97 a gallon, according to AAA. That's 60 cents more than this time last month, and $1.25 more than this time last year.
If you break it down, it means you'll most likely pay close to $60 for a full tank of gas if you have a 15 gallon tank. And yes, this is ridiculous.
Right now gas prices in Detroit are over $4.00 a gallon and even the Upper Peninsula is feeling the pain at the pump with gas prices setting a new 2022 record.
Not much you can do to fight this other than driving an electric car or just not driving as often as you normally do. Just cut back on driving and only pay for gas when you absolutely need some.
The Detroit Free Press also tells us:
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy, is projecting that prices at the pump could jump as soon as Monday to $4.29 to $4.59 a gallon. According to GasBuddy, the average in Michigan was $4.064 a gallon on Sunday.
The timing for this couldn't come at a worse time considering that Michiganders are going to start making plans for spring break and summer vacations as well.
If these gas prices continue to rise, more and more people will most likely consider other plans for summer vacation, like a staycation.
