Man Finds Home Under a Bridge While Fishing: Jackson
In 2018, a man went fishing under a bridge next to the Jackson Brewery, across the river from the Grand River Market. What he was hoping to find was a good fishing spot...what he found was something entirely different.
As he crawled under the bridge, he came upon a makeshift home – someone had set up housekeeping down there.
So he decided to take a look and see if his assumption was right – and yes, indeed, it was a squatter domain, homeless dwelling...whatever you want to call it.

Peeking into the dark past the walls of cloth, he found a table, silverware, a meal consisting of Pepsi and Froot Loops, cigarettes, and a few other items. These images can be found if you scroll down to the photo gallery.
It does have a nice view of the market and Grand River Memorial Park, though.
On one hand, it's kind of a rush to come across something as unexpected as this.....on the other hand, it's sad to know that there are unfortunate people who have to struggle to survive.
