The Ingham County Sheriff's Office is looking for help in naming the new paw-ficer on the force!

According to a post on their Facebook page, the Ingham County Sheriff's Office has a brand new member on the team: a drug sniffing K-9 partner! This new crime fighting K-9 needs a name, and the Ingham County Sheriff's Office wants your help in naming him... well, more specifically, they want the help the help of the "all elementary schools serviced by ICSO".

If you have a little one that attends an elementary school serviced by the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, they've got the chance to name this new paw-ficer. Here are the rules:

  1. The name can only have two syllables, and must contain 10 letters or less.
  2. There needs to be a reason behind why the student chose that name.
  3. The ICSO wants creativity! "Drawing & pictures are encouraged".
  4. Schools have until Sunday, October 28th to submit their top 3 choices. Email them to swrigglesworth@ingham.org

The winner, who will be announced November 1st, will win a pizza party for their classroom! And, there will be some special guests in attendance... members of the K-9 team. Read more about the contest here.
