I don't know about you, but I'm kinda ticked off that someone saw fit to demolish the old Bill Knapp's building...not to mention the old Holiday Inn.

My question to you is: what could those structures have been used for? How could they have been put to good use instead of tearing them down?

I assume it's possible there could've been legitimate reasons for the demolitions: black mold, etc. But if not, what could we have used those buildings for?

For the old Bill Knapp's, a stock answer would be to put in another restaurant...but what else?
RECEPTION HALL
LODGE
VFW HALL
LIBRARY
LOUNGE

POOL HALL
SECRETARY OF STATE
INSURANCE OFFICES
LEARNING CENTER

There are PLENTY of things that it could've been used for.

And what could the Holiday Inn have been used for instead of a parking lot???

Does anyone have thoughts, ideas, suggestions...even though it's too late?
