It was back on March 13th, that the Michigan High School Athletic Association announced that in order to deter the spread of COVID-19 they were "directing all schools in Michigan to suspend activities in all sports for all seasons." The original dates for the suspension were going to be effective from Monday, March 16th  through at least Sunday, April 5th in order to deter the spread of the Coronaviurs.

However, on April 3rd, the MHSAA announced that it was going to cancel the rest of the 2019-2020 winter and spring seasons in compliance with the “state of disaster” directive by Governor Whitmer. You can read their press release regarding this decision by clicking here.

After the decision to cancel the rest of the athletic season was announced, the Athletic Director from Holt High School posted a letter to the Senior Class Athletes of 2020 from Holt. If you have a senior athlete or know of one (whether they're from Holt or not), you should share this letter with them. It's quite powerful.
