Albion has it's share of ghostly tales, rumors and occurrences...but what is real and what isn't?

Is the Stockwell-Mudd library at Albion College haunted?
It was said to be, but that particular rumor has basically been put to rest.

THE RUMOR:
The bathroom on the second floor was the home of this spirit, supposedly of a woman who committed suicide sometime in the 1920's.

An unusual decor factor lies in the fact that the men's bathroom stalls are painted pink while the women's is green...this is because - so the rumor says - that the ladies were so frightened to use their own bathroom, staffers switched the men's & women's facilities around...but no one there has ever heard of such an event taking place.

Even though staff members have explained how the 1920's story is false (because the building was constructed in 1938, plus thanks to all the rumors & tales), the bathroom on the second floor still continues to scare & keep some students away.

NOW: JUST WHAT EXACTLY IS HAUNTED?
It's said that Kappa Delta Sorority has a ghost of it's own. The story says the spirit is that of a sorority sister who was killed in an automobile accident; girls in the sorority claim to hear the sounds of unearthly 'giggles' and footsteps on the top floor while everyone is in the basement. They've named this ghost "P"...and once, after one of the girls called out "P", she heard a faint 'hello' in response.

AND THAT AIN'T ALL:
Riverside Cemetery in Albion is home to another female spectre - or "lady in white" if you prefer - who has been seen slinking through the cemetery at night.

It always a good time to ghost hunt...don't wait 'til Halloween!
