This old structure was built in 1925 and has been abandoned ever since 2008.

It was used as a cold storage facility, and after abandonment, an ammonia smell could be detected coming from the building.

It was called Hoban Cold Storage, located at 1599 E. Warren Avenue in Detroit. It was originally the John J. Bagley Tobacco Company, who used a handful of the other nearby warehouses for storage. When the tobacco company moved out, the General Cold Storage & Warehouse Company took it over.

In 1940, the Hoban Company was formed and set up shop in this facility in 1942. The company folded and emptied in 2007, becoming completely deserted by 2008.
