Here's another old abandoned house, covered in bushes and other foliage somewhere in Ohio. Built in 1884, this old farmhouse is being called a “time capsule house” by the videographers, due to all the decades-old things found inside.

In one room, there are a bunch of preserve jars on the shelves, still filled with who-knows-what. Glancing at one of those shelves, I thought to myself,: “What are those? Condoms? In a jar?” Upon closer inspection, I saw that they were jars filled with sliced banana peppers. 'Condoms' was indeed a ridiculous assumption, but they looked just like 'em, yellow with age. Geez, I'm gettin' old.

There's an old 60s television set, ornate lamps, clocks, and a still-connected shower curtain. You would expect a shower curtain this old to be covered in black spots and mold, but this one still looks pristine – almost if it was brand new – which is incredible in itself.

Among the items are toys, clothes, a cheerleading award, and a Rolling Stone magazine. Looking closer at the magazine, it has a photo of Larry David on the cover, one of the creators and writers of “Seinfeld”. The magazine date was August 4, 2011, so that means this house hasn't been that deserted for very long.

Even so, the house looks like its been abandoned for much, much longer. The kitchen is in an extremely deplorable state...I mean NASTY...with parts of the wood ceiling collapsed. There's even a full, unopened bottle of Miller Genuine Draft sitting on a bedroom mantle.

Vines have crept their way into one of the bedrooms; in another is an old Casio keyboard, just lying there on the bed. Why didn't the residents take this when they vacated?

More throughout, revealing that this was indeed a family that lived here, seemingly a typical middle-class family. But why would they leave all this stuff behind, including (supposedly) treasured mementos? Have a look inside in the gallery below.
