Favorite Cedar Point Roller Coasters

For all of us who grew up in Michigan, it wasn't the perfect summer unless you had gone to Cedar Point.  This summer the awesome amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio will be celebrating their 150th anniversary.

  The parks 150th anniversary celebration was postponed last year due to the COVID outbreak.  Jason McClure, Vice President and General Manager of Cedar Point  says "Cedar Point will continue to provide safe family fun in 2021, just as it has since its beginning". "Safety is always our top priority, in this current environment, and our team will continue to carry out our mission of not only safety, but the very reason we've been here for more than 150 years - to make people happy'.

Cedar Point is not the oldest amusement park in the United Sates, that honor goes to Lake Compounce in Connecticut.  Lake Compounce is the oldest, continuously-operating amusement park in North America for more than 170 years.

Roller coaster clubs all over the world call Cedar Point their favorite for all the amazing coasters they have.  These clubs and other coaster enthusiasts have ranked the parks rollercoasters.

#10 Wicked Twister.  This ride launches riders at speeds of up to 72 miles per hour.

#9  Rougarou.  An updated version of the old Mantis.

#8  Raptor.  This coaster is considered to be one of the more fun rides in the park.

#7  Magnum.  The first coaster ever to top 200 feet.

#6  GateKeeper.  The tallest, fastest and longest wing roller coaster in the world.

#5  Top Thrill Dragster.  Passengers on this ride go from zero to 120 miles per hour in 4 seconds.  An awesome, but very quick ride.

#4  Valraven.  This roller coaster takes riders 223 feet in the air before dropping them straight down at speeds of 75 mph.

#3  Millennium Force.  Considered one of the best coasters in the world, and one of my favorites.

#2  Maverick.  All kinds of twists and turns for a whole 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

#1  Steel Vengance.  This coaster debuted at the park back in 2018 and is not only the best thrill ride at Cedar Point, but is considered to be the best  coaster in the world.
