If you are looking for another event to take the kids to this weekend then look no further than the 36th Annual Yankee Doodle Days. The annual festival will be kicking off on Thursday June 20th and running all weekend, concluding on Sunday June 23rd. The Yankee Doodle Days will be happening all over Jaycee Park (525 E. River Street). The event is also for a good cause as the proceeds will go to promoting the Grand Ledge community and its members as well as other fundraisers are happening during the weekend.

One of the big things to check out is of course the Parade kicking off on Saturday, June 22 and will start at 11:00 AM. The parade will start at the Sawdon Administration Building and proceed through town and over the bridge to end at the Fire Station, more on it here. 

In addition to the parade, there will also be Riverboat Rides, taking off at Island Park (206 W. River Street) from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, leaving every hour, the cost $10 for adults, $7 for children, and 3 & under free. Also on Saturday from 9am - 1pm there will be a Grand Ledge Farmers' Market, more on the market here. Saturday is also Kid's Day from Noon-5pm and there will be a bounce house, a scavenger hunt, games, and so much more. Finally, the festival will conclude on Sunday with a Community Picnic, with Food provided by Quality Dairy.
