There were a good number of prehistoric creatures that once roamed Michigan. But were any of them actual dinosaurs?

There are examples of Michigan's prehistoric creatures, and some pretty interesting ones at that.
Like what, you ask? For example:

1. American Mastodon
The American mastodon weighed up to six tons and resembled the wooly mammoth; it had large tusks and a hairy body. It became extinct about 11,00 years ago.

2. Woodland Muskox
The woodland muskox went extinct about 11,000 years ago. Scientists believe it became extinct thanks to being hunted and killed by humans.

3. Columbian Mammoth
Columbian mammoths had tusks and hair similar to the woolly mammoth. It was a cross-breed of a woolly mammoth and some other creature that is unidentifiable. They became extinct around 11,500 years ago, again thanks to hunters and a change in climate.

4. Giant Beaver
The giant beaver was the largest beaver to ever live. They could get up to over seven feet long and weigh 276 pounds. Aside from being the all-time biggest beaver, they are the largest rodent ever known.

5. Elk Moose or Stag-Moose
This was the same size as the moose we have today. Eight feet long, six feet tall, and ver 1,500 pounds. Scientists can’t figure out why it went extinct, but it was probably due to hunters.

Okay, those prehistoric creatures are interesting, but what about actual dinosaurs? You know – the t-rex, brontosaurus, raptor.....I mean, you saw Jurassic Park.

Unfortunately, scientists have not yet discovered any fossil evidence of Michigan dinosaurs...but that does NOT mean they didn’t roam here at some point in time. During the Jurassic period there was plenty of plant life in Michigan, rife with many tasty treats that the dinos loved.... but with no fossil evidence, we can’t say.
