This morning on WFMK, we were talking about the spread of norovirus.  The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has issued a warning about the spread of norovirus.

According to WILX-News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, a norovirus infection is commonly known as the stomach flu even though it has nothing to do with influenza.

Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, cramps, muscle aches, fever, along with headaches and weakness.

Norovirus is highly contagious and can stay on things like phones, keyboards, doorknobs and so much more.

We hear this from all doctors, the best way to prevent norovirus contamination is to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds at a time with soap and warm water after using the bathroom and before preparing food
