The horses are back on Mackinac Island, and resorts are gearing up for a full summer season of fudge fueled fun.

Here's what's new this year:  a wine bar, a renovated spa and a continuing room renovation at Mission Point Resort.

The Grand Hotel also has completed the renovation of its 660 foot long porch and created three new fourth floor cupola suites with blue sky wallpaper and stunning views of the straits.

Mission Point opens Friday for a pre-season week, with rooms available for as low as $129 a night.  The Grand Hotel also opens Friday for pre-season rooms but no dinner service.  Full services begin on May 4.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
