Waverly Graduate to be on New Season of American Idol

According to the Lansing State Journal, a local singer and songwriter will audition for "American Idol" celebrity judges when the show's new season premieres next month.

Rachel Curtis, a 2014 Waverly High School graduate and Delta Township native, auditioned on camera for the singing competition's judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.

Curtis wrote on facebook, "I am a contestant for the brand new American Idol Season 1 on the ABC Television Network."  For more information, please click on the above link.
