According to the Lansing State Journal, a group of parents, teachers and community members have initiated a campaign to raise $750,000 in the next seven months to pay for an upgrade at the Grand Ledge High School football stadium that the district can't afford, replacing the field's grass with artificial turf.

The improvement would allow more of the school's sports teams and groups to use the stadium and make it more accessible to the community.

It would also make Grand Ledge's football stadium one of only a handful in the Lansing area that have turf football fields.
