"There's no statute of limitations on murder," Jackson Police Chief Chris Simpson stated when I asked him about the Unsolved Homicides section on the agency's website.

Three cold case homicides are listed on the site, and according to Simpson, those cases are reassigned to different detectives on a rotating basis, which offers fresh eyes and perspectives.

No Piece of Information is Too Small in a Murder Investigation

The oldest of the three unsolved homicide cases goes back to June 1983. Even with a case that's over 40 years old, even the smallest piece of information related to these cases could be the insight detectives need to close a case.
