The United Auto Workers strike against GM is now in its third week, and the ripple effect is starting to be felt around the state.

Many are saying that the longer this strike continues, the worse it is for Michigan's economy. And it will have huge potential consequences for the 2020 Presidential race.

The UAW strike is now in day18 and the pain from that strike is starting to spread across the state.

Last Friday, workers faced their first payday without a check, but $250.00 in strike benefits kicked in this week.

Employees at some supplier companies as well as GM plants in Canada and Mexico have been laid off due to parts shortages.

Workers are saying that they gave up a lot to help GM through bankruptcy a decade ago and haven't gotten their share of the Company's record profits since.
