Traverse City Whiskey Company Announces $20 Million Expansion Plan
There's big news coming out of the Cherry Capital as the Traverse City Whiskey Company has announced plans for a $20 Million expansion that is expected to not only beautify the grounds but add 100 new jobs to Traverse City.
The owners of the company received a $750,000 Michigan Business Development Program performance-based grant. The TCWC pulled the curtain back a bit with a recent post sharing the news on their social media page:

Granted A BIG Grant
Governor Gretchen Whitmer, state legislators, and local officials have shown strong support for the Michigan Business Development Program, which was responsible for the $750,000 Grant and enabled Traverse City Whiskey Co. to make this expansion, as she announced in a press release:
Today’s $20 million investment by Traverse City Whiskey Company will create nearly 100 good-paying jobs and foster long-term economic opportunity in Northern Michigan’s agribusiness sector. Right now, Michigan’s economy is growing, and we must build on our momentum by empowering our hardworking people, innovative small businesses, and resilient communities. Our future is bright, and by continuing to work together on bipartisan economic development efforts, we can bring in more investments like this one by TCWC to us move Michigan forward.
What's Next?
For now, the new facility that they're renovating to make way for distilling and storage is still in the works, but once it's almost finished they'll have job listings posted on their website. The Stillhouse on 14th St. is still going strong and will remain unchanged and open during this exciting and growing time for the business.
