If you enjoy exercising, you probably have a pretty good idea by now on what you really want from your workouts.

You probably want a workout that's fun, not too long, effective, and fairly easy to follow. According to verywellfit.com, there are some exercises you'll want to include in your workouts.

If you really want to lose some weight and get really fit at the same time, then let's take a look at the top 5 exercises for strength and weight loss:

1. Squats. Here's an exercise that works just about every muscle in the lower body. That includes hips, thighs, and calves. Doing squats  will add some functionality to your training.

2. Push Ups. Okay, I seriously have to work on these. I can't even do 10 push ups anymore. Push ups are compound movements using almost all the muscles of your body. They definitely will increase your upper body strength.

3. Lunges. Even though I haven't attempted lunges as of yet, they do work most of the muscles in your legs, including your quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves.

4.The Plank. My kids are heavy in to exercising these days and they both love the plank exercise. This is an isolation move used in Pilates and yoga and works the abs, back, arms, and legs. It also targets your internal abdominal muscles.

5. Lat Pulldown. The lat pulldown works on the major muscles of your back. This exercise promotes good postures and spinal stability.

Well, I think it's time for me to get busy and start exercising more if I'm looking to gain more strength and lose a little weight. (verywellfit.com)
