Thousands of homes and businesses remain without power this morning after the powerful storms that moved throughout parts of Michigan over the weekend. At one point, over 800,000 businesses and homes were without power. This morning, Consumers Energy posted an update on their Facebook page that said that just under 46,000 of their customers remain without service throughout the state. The Lansing Board of Water & Light reported on their Facebook page this morning that power has now been restored to all of their customers. Also, according to a Facebook post this morning from DTE Energy, approximately 250,000 DTE customers remain without power throughout southeast Michigan. As posted by Consumers Energy, drivers are being asked to be alert to crews working along the roads. "Drivers should slow down or stop and wait for oncoming traffic to clear so they safely can go past workers on roadsides."
