There are thousands of options throughout Michigan for great takeout food, but who truly has the best? Apparently, it's a meat-centric restaurant in Detroit as they've been named the best to-go food in the state.

I think it's safe to say that takeout is more popular now than ever before. We can thank the pandemic for that. Honestly, it really is the way to go if you don't want to sit in a busy restaurant with a bunch of people.

It doesn't surprise me that the best takeout food comes out of Detroit, there are so many insanely amazing restaurants to choose from. I just wish I lived a bit closer so I could take full advantage of what they have to offer.

According to Eat This, Not That!, congratulations are in order for the crew at Grey Ghost Detroit. Their Dry-Aged New York Strip is what got the top honor for the best to-go food in the state.

Normally steak wouldn't be my top pick for takeout but after looking at that beauty below, I don't think I could pass it up.

Grey Ghost Detroit is apparently a nod to the alias of the most notorious rum running pirate on the Detroit River back during the Prohibition era. Although never identified, the legend of the Grey Ghost lives on at 47 East Watson in Detroit. You'll find it between the historic Brush Park and Midtown neighborhoods.
