The Great Pumpkin Walk in East Lansing is happening tonight.  This event is a big hit with kids with more than 1,000 trick-or-treaters hitting the streets of Downtown East Lansing for the event.

According to WILX-TV 10, children can collect candy from more than 50 participating businesses downtown.  The event is hosted by the City of East Lansing and Downtown Management Board in partnership with participating downtown businesses.

The fun starts at 5 p.m. and runs until 7 p.m.  Parking is free from 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Also happening in East Lansing tonight, the Michigan State University Greek community is holding its Halloween street carnival event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on M.A.C. Avenue between Burcham Drive and Linden Street.
