It's hard to believe that Monica Harris is hanging up her microphone to pursue other career possibilities after all these years.

Monica and I started doing the WFMK morning show back in 2007 and it's been nothing but a blast since then.

We've been waking people up in the mid-Michigan area for the past 15 plus years. And we've been good friends since working together back in the '80s.

We both worked together on WVIC here in Lansing when we both played nothing but the most popular hit songs. And now those popular '80s hit songs are featured on our "Feel Good '80s  Weekends" on WFMK!

We've known each other and worked with each other for over 30 years and that's a long time in the radio business.

Today, Friday, October 15, we said our goodbyes to each other after a long radio run. We've done so many fun things together on the air including her incredible Halloween stories.

We started those stories back in 2007 and they instantly became a huge hit with our WFMK listening audience.

A few of Monica's highlights during her radio career was when she met Donny Osmond back in the mid '80s. Donny was such a stand up guy. We both got his autograph, a few pictures, and we even took him out to lunch. This is for you Monica!

Another highlight for Monica is when she had backstage passes to meet David Coverdale, the lead singer of Whitesnake. Monica wouldn't stop talking about how good he smelled when she got the chance to meet him.

I just want to take this time to thank Monica for her great friendship and being the best Co-host I could have ever hoped for.

Radio is all about bringing fun and entertainment to the listening audience every single day and that's what we did for 15 years as Danny and Monica in the Morning.

Monica now plans on spending time with her family and looking at other opportunities along the way. I wish her nothing but the best!

Monica-THANK YOU!
