If you missed it last year, its back and it celebrates its 60th year this year, kicking off on Thursday in downtown Frankenmuth, its the Bavarian Festival! The Festival runs from Thursday June 7th through Sunday June 10th and it offers a variety of food, fun events, and plenty of traditions.

General Admission only costs $5 but it will allow to check out everything the festival has to offer:

  • Bavarian Festival Princess - Each year, one lucky lady is crowned Bavarian Festival Princess. You can learn about the program here. 
  • Bavarian Festival Parade - Locals refer to "Parade Sunday" as a local holiday, but there will be over 100 entries parading down the Frankenmuth streets. It starts at 1pm and you can learn more and be apart of it here. 
  • Bavarian Festival Olympics - Happening 6pm on Friday night. Some of the past games include: Dirndl Relay, 5 Legged Relay, Watermelon Eating Contest, Pretzel Relay, Super Game Relay, Pitcher Brigade, Strawberry Smash and Keg Roll. They change every year and if you are competing you don't know which events it will be until game time. More about it and how to be apart of it here.
