Target Raises Starting Pay to $24 An Hour for Some Positions
Wait a minute, does this mean if I go out and retrieve Target shopping carts from their parking lot that I can make $24 an hour?
Probably not, but we do have some really good news to pass along to anyone who would like to work at Target in the near future.
Target is setting a new starting wage of anywhere between $15 to $24 per hour. This is so Target can find strong talent and keep them happy at their job.
According to mlive.com:
"We want all team members to be better off for working at Target, and years of investments in our culture of care, meaningful pay, expanded health care benefits and opportunities for growth have been essential to helping our team members build rewarding careers," said Melissa Kremer, Target's chief human resources officer.
You know what else is very impressive? The fact that Target employs more than 350,000 workers at its more than 1,900 U.S. stores. (mlive.com)
My daughter Aubrey worked at the Okemos Target about a year ago and really liked it. The only reason she's not working there now is because she's going to college elsewhere.
But once she comes back home for the summer, Aubrey plans on filling out another application so she can make even more money per hour at Target.
And let's face it, Target is one of the more popular stores around. Everyone I know loves Target.
When my wife and I are out and about on weekends, we always stop by Target to pick up a few items of interest. Target has really nice merchandise and a nice grocery area as well.
