Supporting Local Businesses Even During COVID-19 Pandemic

The holidays are here and there's no better way to celebrate the holiday season than to buy your loved ones gifts. But the question is, where do we start?

You can either shop online for the best deals you can find or you could consider shopping local. That's what I do every holiday season..

According to the Lansing State Journal, everyone can use a list of gift ideas for the holiday season, so how about several ideas to help make your search a little bit easier:

1. Old Town General Store on E. Cesar E. Chavez Avenue in Lansing. This is one of the coolest stores around when it comes to shopping for locally sourced products from across the state. They feature plenty of food items, craft beer, local wines and lots of souvenirs.

2.Student Book Store on Grand River Avenue in East Lansing. You can find plenty of textbooks at the Student Book Store. They also have all sorts of trendy MSU spirit wear and gifts. Someone in your family would look really good wearing MSU attire!

3. Dusty's Cellar on W. Grand River Avenue in Okemos. This wonderful place has been around for quite some time and there's good reason for it. Dusty's has a wide selection of wine, specialty foods, beer, deli items and pastries. The atmosphere is terrific and so is their staff.

4. Kean's Store on S. Jefferson in Mason. They have the best candy counter you will ever encounter. Everyone loves Kean's store because they have candy, knickknacks, toys and other great stocking stuffer ideas.

5. Lansing Brewing Company on E. Shiawassee Street in Lansing. Once it's safe to gather again during the pandemic, pick up something from this well known local brewery and restaurant. They have a very nice gift shop inside featuring a wide selection of beer, wine, spirits and clothing items. (LSJ)
