Finally, Congress has agreed to spend approximately $250 billion, sending out checks for up to $1,200 per person.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

If your most recently filed tax return shows you made less than $75,000, you are eligible for a $1,200 check.

Couples who make up to $150,000 can receive a max of $2,400.

If a single person makes over $75,000, the amount goes down $5 for every $100 salary increase.

If a single person makes over $99,000, no check will be given.

If a couple makes above $198,000, no check will be given.

The Tax Foundation in Washington D.C. says 93.6% of Americans will be eligible for a check.

Taxpayers will receive $500 per child listed as a dependent on their 2019 tax return.

WHEN WILL WE GET THIS MONEY?

Probably not until May. It'll take the IRS a while to send out checks. The White House wants them checks out in a couple of weeks, but realistically, it will probably take longer.
