If you're confused about what the rules are and what restrictions and Executive Orders apply to you regarding your particular area of Michigan, you're certainly not alone. But a new website published by the state of Michigan should help.

The Michigan Safe-Start Restrictions by Category page details what is allowed and prohibited within each region of Michigan. Flint, for example, which has been included in Region 1 along with the Metro Detroit area, is currently in phase 4. That means our region of the state is "improving" and the spread of coronavirus is considered under control.

The site consolidates each of Governor Gretchen Whitmer's Executive Orders that have been issued and outlines what to expect when entering public businesses and facilities such as salons and restaurants as well as what to expect when attending any youth or adult sporting events.

As we draw closer to the beginning of the school year, the site reiterates that schools in all eight of Michigan's regions must come up with individualized plans for in-person education.

"All schools are required to have a COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan that is informed by the Michigan Return to School Roadmap and post their plan on the home page of their public internet site by August 17, 2020."

For a website published by the state of Michigan, the site is remarkably helpful and clear. Take a look, as it will hopefully clear up any questions you may have as you continue to navigate the pandemic in Michigan.
