Starlite Drive-in Theater, Lansing: 1948-1984
Another of the Lansing area’s sadly missed drive-in theaters is the Starlite, once located at 3020 Snow Road, across the street from the old Millett schoolhouse. In fact, when it opened on August 15, 1948, it was referred to as “Millett’s new drive-in theater".
The $85,000 Starlite sat on 17 acres and held 600 cars when it opened, up to 700 in 1956, and 1,100 in 1977.
When it opened that summer in 1948, it was only open on Wednesdays and Sundays – odd operating days, since Fridays and Saturdays would’ve been the best times to pull in customers. The very first film shown was The Texas Kid.

The Starlite closed permanently on August 23, 1984, stood abandoned and empty for a few years and was demolished sometime during the late 1980s.
Currently the lot is used by "D&K Truck".
