Special Tribute to the Late Burt Reynolds on WFMK Night

The late Burt Reynolds will be remembered this month with a special night at Cooley Law School Stadium.

This special tribute takes place on WFMK night which is Saturday, July 20th.  Before the Lansing Lugnuts game begins, the first 1,000 fans through the front gates will receive a limited edition Bandit bobblehead.

It shows Reynolds in one of his most popular movie roles as Bo Bandit Darville in the film Smokey and the Bandit.

Other attractions and activities planned for the Reynolds tribute night in Lansing:

Smokey and the Bandit Pontiac Firebird replica cars for fans to take pictures with.  One of the cars will deliver the game's first ball.

Movie clips played on the scoreboard of Burt Reynolds in multiple roles and film themed on field promotions during the game.

Lugnuts players will wear Bandit inspired jerseys during their game against the Clinton Lumberkings.   Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
