You have a couple of weeks, but just to get you to write this down on your calendar, Small Business Saturday is coming up on November 28th.

A wonderful time for you to shop local.  We have so many wonderful small businesses in Mid Michigan so when you are shopping, remember them and give them your business.  They pay taxes here, and their money will flow back to the community.

Small businesses have been long thought to be the backbone of the American economy and small business owners are fulfilling their dreams of owning their own business  and being their own boss.  I applaud them.

In Old Town, there are a few of my local favorites.

Absolute Gallery- great gift ideas and very unique art work.

Curvaceous Lingerie- classic pajamas, shapewear and fine lingerie

Polka Dots- one of my favorites.  I have a closet that has many pieces of clothing from there.  Even my favorite winter coat of all time comes from that small business.

Cravings Popcorn- Amazing.  You like popcorn?  Go there!!!!

Grace Boutique- A wonderful place to shop for women who like a classic style

Old Town is home to many amazing small businesses, please support them by shopping there and eating at the many amazing restaurants we have in Mid Michigan.

In Dimondale you need to see Bridge and Jefferson.  An awesome place to go.  They have wonderful pieces of furniture, jewelry, clothing  and shoes. Looking for a gift for someone or a gift for you, highly recommend this place.  Their buyer, has an amazing eye.

Finally, my favorite place, and it has been for many years, The Peanut Shop in downtown Lansing.  Love their big redskin peanuts, when you buy nuts they are nice and warm and it makes them more of a treat.

Keep this in mind, this is just a small sampling of small locally owned business in Mid Michigan.  Remember to support these local spots on Small Business Saturday, November 28th.
