Several Shows That Monica Thinks You Should be Watching on Netflix
As more people pull away from watching TV on the big three networks, streaming services are growing increasingly popular. Netflix, which has been around since 1997, is one of the most popular streaming services, offering some of the best sitcoms and movies.
As we claw our way out of our pandemic lifestyle, we are now recommending shows that we watched while in quarantine. Netflix is the streaming service that many of us have, and there is a lot on there to recommend.
Some of the Netflix shows have become so popular that they have been referred to as a cultural phenomenon. Stranger Things comes to mind. The Netflix original show is awesome, and if you have never watched the show, I highly recommend it. A new round of episodes will be out soon, so you need to catch up.
Here is a list of some of my favorites on Netflix, in no particular order.
Jupiter's Legacy
This show is about superheroes and how their children struggle to live up to Mom and Dad. Josh Duhamel stars in this Drama/Science Fiction story based on comic books. I am not a huge fan of this genre but this show is really good.
The Circle
According to Netflix, this show is a social media competition. Based on my three daughters giving it a thumbs up, I will definitely watch.
The Woman in the Window
This stars Amy Adams as a woman suffering from agoraphobia who witnesses a brutal crime from her window.
Nadiya Bakes, Nadiya's Time To Eat, or The Great British Bakeoff
All of those are fabulous, just don't watch hungry.
Halston
Ewan McGregor stars in this piece about the late fashion icon and his rise to fame and fortune.
Haunted
Creepy and scary. Each episode of the show has people discussing their hauntings, and yes, it is based on true stories.
The Sons of Sam
Based on facts surrounding the random murders in New York City in the 1970s.
Schitt's Creek
My favorite of all time. I have watched all the show's episodes several times over. I love this show so much.
There are other streaming services, but Netflix is a great place to start.
