Everyone is talking about this very touchy subject.  Teachers could be armed with guns in schools under legislation being developed by two Republicans in the Michigan House of Representatives.

The legislation is coming in the wake of yet another mass shooting, this time at a high school in Florida that left 17 people dead.

A State Representative will schedule hearings this spring on a bill that he's drafting that will allow school districts to provide access to guns in locked, undisclosed locations in school buildings to teachers who volunteer and who are trained in firearm use.

The teachers would have to go through 80 hours of training on how to shoot a gun, gun safety, how to engage with an active shooter and tactics to help stop a dangerous situation.  Here's more from the Detroit Free Press.
