Short's Brewing Company is taking a stand against rude customers who are treating staff poorly over the mask mandate and social distancing guidelines.

The company began in 2002 when Joe Short registered Short’s Brewing Company as a business in the state of Michigan; the pub opened in Bellaire two years later. In 2008 Short's purchased and renovated a production facility in Elk Rapids to brew larger scaler batches.

The Northern Michigan beer maker took to Facebook this week to support their workers and tell bullying customers enough is enough.

They say employees have been yelled at, laughed at, called names, and belittled by customers since reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The post has gone viral, being shared almost 10K times.

I love what Short's is saying here. We ALL need to remember that those working in the service industry are people too. They are sons and daughters, moms and dads, sisters and brothers --  and they deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.

This is a really hard time for all of us. Short's acknowledges that issues are going to come up as things are changing every day; they are doing their best to keep up and give their customers an awesome experience. They ask anyone with constructive feedback to contact them at pubmanagement@shortsbrewing.com.
