Clean up is underway at the West Saginaw Meijer Sunday after a fire started late Saturday evening.  Several employees were wearing surgical masks on Sunday morning while they restocked shelves at the store.

According to the Lansing State Journal, a clear smell of smoke went through the building, and Meijer employees were attempting to air out the building.

Doors at the main entrance facing Saginaw Highway remained open while a fan blew the indoor air out toward the parking lot.

Store management received clearance from the state Department of Agriculture to reopen the store Sunday morning.  It was closed that afternoon so the Fire Department could further investigate the fire's cause and fire alarms in the store.
