We need more good news like this.

Neighbors taking care of neighbors.

People buying, shopping, eating, and supporting local.

Local businesses giving back to their communities.

So the kids can eat.

It's all come full circle thanks to our friends at Saddleback Barbecue.

They've been very busy giving back to the community and helping out A LOT of folks that have been affected by Covid-19.

Head here to see Sadleback BBQ's Covid Timeline.

And in 2021 they keep it going.  Let's shine a little light on them for helping out the folks over at Coach's Pub and Grill back in January.

Back in March of last year, they helped to feed hungry kids.

March 13th - Schools in Michigan were shut down for the remainder of the year. This meant school lunch programs that students rely on would be temporarily canceled. Saddleback and the community stepped up to help out. Together we were able to donate over 1000 meals to students in need.  (Saddleback BBQ)

This year, they're back at it again. Not just helping out Mason Schools and their lunch program, but reaching out to others as well.

Saddleback owners Matt and Travis paid off the entire School Lunch Debt for the Mason School District today. Matt graduated from Mason in 2000 and it is an honor to be able to help the families in the Mason community. As always, we try to be as transparent as possible about these things. The total we paid to Mason Food Service was: $1753.21. The check was provided today. We have also contacted Lansing, Holt, Okemos, and Haslett Schools. (Saddleback BBQ)

See their amazing acts of kindness below and do us a favor. Support local businesses and restaurants. Especially the folks over at Saddleback.

They've even encouraged someone else to step up to the plate. A great big THANK YOU to Speer Electric in Dewitt for helping out St. John's public schools and their student lunch debt.
