The first time I went deer hunting is when I was 16 years old. I went hunting with my dad, uncle and cousin. Believe it or not, that's the only time that I shot a deer here in Michigan.

With hunting season just 10 days away, the House narrowly passed a bill that would repeal Michigan's ban on baiting deer.

But the bill is unlikely to go into effect for this hunting season because it still has to go to the Senate for consideration.

The bill passed by a vote of 57-49, the bare minimum needed to pass a bill in the house.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the state has banned baiting deer with piles of apples, carrots or feed to lure them to a targeted spot during hunting season.

I stopped deer hunting after I turned 18 because I lost interest and because I really don't like killing animals. We just have fun playing deer hunting songs on the air and telling a few jokes.
