If this new real life shop of horrors has anything to do with scary memorabilia, then you can sign me up right now.

I grew up watching all kinds of scary movies and started collecting vintage horror memorabilia at a younger age. If it had anything to do with the strange and unusual, I wanted to be a big part of it.

That's why I'm happy to hear that a real life shop of horrors has officially opened in REO Town Marketplace right here in the Lansing area.

According to the Lansing State Journal:

Though the store opened its physical doors earlier this month, a grand opening event on Saturday will welcome customers from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with tarot readings, raffles, lectures on the paranormal and a naming contest for a supposedly haunted doll sitting at the store's entrance.

The haunted doll wouldn't be named "Annabelle" by any chance would it? I don't think so, I saw that movie and it pretty much scared me out of my seats at the theater.

A married couple owns this new store in REO Town Marketplace and it's called "Voodoo's World of Oddtiques."

The Lansing State Journal adds:

A new store opening in the REO Town Marketplace that sells macabre keepsakes and collectibles. Those include vials of cemetery dirt, vintage horror memorabilia, numerous skulls and precious Bob.

I can tell you that lots of people are into horror memorabilia and I'm one of them. My wife and I are already planning to visit this new place in the next several days.

Saturday during the grand opening of "Voodoo's World of Oddtiques," the owners will explain the history behind "Voodoo" and what it's all about.
