The first major project paid for by the $120 million Pathway Promise bond is taking shape.

Members of the Lansing School District's Board of Education toured Fairview Elementary on Saturday, receiving updates on the soon to be pre-K through sixth grade school.

Board members traveled through the building's new wing of classrooms, gazing out the massive windows in one of the new project labs, surveying the new kitchen, cafeteria and gymnasium.

The school district broke ground on the $16.3 million renovation to Fairview last year.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
