Remains of Charles Manson Are in This Michigan Location
You don’t have to wait for Halloween to get scared out of your pants. The Michigan Museum of Horror will do that for you all year ‘round.
Located in the Michigan town of Monroe, the museum opened in 2022 and features tons of creepy stuff from all corners of the earth. Like:
1) SKULLS AND OTHER HUMAN REMAINS
2) HORROR MOVIE MEMORABILIA
3) CRIME ITEMS FROM SERIAL KILLERS
4) DEATH MASKS OF ACTORS LIKE BELA LUGOSI, VINCENT PRICE AND BORIS KARLOFF
5) LIFESIZE FIGURES OF HORROR ICONS LIKE MICHAEL MYERS AND FREDDY KRUEGER
6) CRIME SCENE PHOTOS .....and so much more to even mention here. Over 2,500 exhibits for you to check out!
It’s gruesome, it’s unique, it’s unsettling. It even has a vial containing some of the cremated remains of Charles Manson.

But the chilling stuff doesn’t end with the exhibits and displays...the history of the building has something to add as well. In the mid-1800s, the structure was originally a shop for a Coffin Maker, becoming a funeral home during the 1870s.
In the 1890s, Native American skulls and remains were discovered buried under the sidewalk in front of the shop. Not only that, but further investigations uncovered information that most of old downtown Monroe was built over an old abandoned graveyard.
So, yeah – there's more to the museum than meets the eye. Scroll down to see some photos of what you can expect...some photos I decided not to share...you’ll have to go see some of the other stuff for yourselves.
The museum is located at 44 S. Monroe Street, Monroe.
