"If you don't like Michigan weather, just wait five minutes," is an old Michigan saying that's been around for a very long time.

It's a perfect weather statement for all Michiganders because you don't know what's going to happen next when it comes to Michigan weather.

One minute it's snowing and 28 degrees and then in the next five minutes, sunny and close to 80 degrees. Somewhat puzzling isn't it?

But that's exactly what we're in for this weekend all across Michigan. Temperatures April 23 and 24 will be in the upper 70's all across Michigan with a few places actually hitting 80 degrees.

According to mlive.com:

Many southern half of Michigan cities are forecast to warm to 79 degrees Saturday. A corridor from Grand Rapids to Mount Pleasant and Flint are expected to warm to 80 degrees.

Michiganders are very excited about the warmer temperatures because it's been a long time coming.

All I know is that I'm going to spend most of my time outside enjoying the warmer temps. I've already got my game plan down for this weekend.

The first thing I'm going to do is clean up my riding lawn mower and then mow the entire lawn.

After that, I'm going to wash my wife's car and mine too. I love washing cars by hand because they clean up much better with a little elbow grease.

Next, put air in our bicycle tires and go for a five mile ride throughout our neighborhood.

After the bike ride, it will be time to fire up the grill and have a barbecue. We're talking about a couple of steaks, chicken, and all the extras.

Whatever you do this weekend, take full advantage of the warmer temps because they're not sticking around anytime soon. Have fun!
