Can you believe it? Pine Knob Music Theatre is celebrating its 50th anniversary season this summer in Clarkston, Michigan. (mlive.com)

I've been to so many concerts at Pine Knob over the years that I think I've completely lost count.

I do remember my very first concert at Pine Knob back in the '70s. It was Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. One of the best concerts ever!

If we go way back to 1972, that's when Pine Knob held their very first concert featuring the one and only David Cassidy. I actually met David Cassidy back in the '80s when he came to East Lansing to do a show at the old Dooley's Bar.

And now that Pine Knob Music Theatre is celebrating their 50th anniversary concert season, you better believe they're bringing in some great performers to rock us all summer long.

Speaking of concerts at Pine Knob this summer, how about Styx and REO Speedwagon on Wednesday, June 8. It's like reliving the '80s all over again!

Styx and REO Speedwagon have been performing together for the past several years and it's a guaranteed great show.

Other great shows coming to Pine Knob this summer are:

Josh Groban on Friday, June 17

Dave Matthews Band on Tuesday, June 21

Santana and Earth, Wind and Fire on Tuesday, July 5

You can't go wrong with Santana and one of my all time favorite R & B groups, Earth, Wind and Fire!

More great shows this summer at Pine Knob will include:

Train, Jewel, Blues Traveler on Tuesday, July 12

Chicago, Brian Wilson on Tuesday, July 26

Rod Stewart, Cheap Trick on Wednesday, July 27

I've seen Rod Stewart a half dozen times in concert and he really puts on a good show!

Incredible concerts scheduled all summer long at Pine Knob Music Theatre, including the Backstreet Boys and the one and only Kid Rock!

I've seen some incredible concerts over the years at Pine Knob including Chicago, Earth, Wind and Fire, Bob Seger, The Doobie Brothers, REO Speedwagon, Sting, and this list goes on and on and on.

Have fun this summer as Pine Knob Music Theatre celebrates its 50th anniversary concert season!
