What are some of YOUR favorite, classic arcade games?

The 1970's have been dubbed "The Golden Age of Arcade Games" and rightly so...so many of our favorites were created over 40 years ago...and they're STILL loved by many, young and old alike.

I used to hang out at Pinball Pete’s til the wee hours back in the 70’s & 80’s, just like many others…playing the games of the day: Pac-Man, Asteroids, Phoenix, Berzerk, Galaga, Space Invaders, Breakout, Gunfight, Pong, Frogger, Dig Dug, Centipede, Donkey Kong and others (SEE THE PHOTO GALLERY BELOW).

After perusing the photo gallery, can you think of any other favorites from 1970-1980? Be careful...there were plenty in the 80's that became classic favorites as well!

In 2022, Pinball Pete’s celebrates their 46th anniversary! The first Pinball Pete’s was opened in East Lansing (and created) by Tim Arnold in September 1976 and has been a favorite hangout and entertainment center ever since.

And Pete’s is still going strong, one of the few arcade gaming establishments left in the country.

Pinballmuseum.org did a wonderful article on Pinball Pete’s with much more historical info for you…CLICK HERE to read the article!

Wait a minute…if it was created by “Tim” then why is the moniker “Pete” in the business logo? It’s not named after anyone in particular…and maybe you already know the answer: it’s the name they gave the pink elephant that is proudly displayed in the Pinball Pete sign.

Now.....get off yer duffs and go play some games at Pete’s….TONIGHT!
